samoan language week is launched Talofa Lava. The New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO is a proud supporter of Le Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa−Samoan Language Week: 27 May – 2 June 2012. Partner organisation the New Zealand Human Rights Commission notes that 'Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa encourages people to learn and use Samoan in their day-to-day lives, highlights the importance of respecting others and builds strong relationships amongst New Zealand’s diverse communities and using their own language.'
